Augusta University Department of Public Safety is the campus law-enforcement agency for Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. The department serves students, faculty, staff, patients, and visitors across university campuses and related medical and academic property in the Augusta area. Its area of responsibility covers campus patrol, crime prevention, investigations of offenses occurring on university property, and coordination with city and county partners when incidents extend beyond campus boundaries. Augusta University anchors higher education and health care along the Savannah River corridor of eastern Georgia, and university public safety is the primary on-campus law-enforcement presence for day-to-day campus safety. Public safety emergencies on campus or in the surrounding area should be reported by dialing 911.
