California Highway Patrol — Red Bluff Area

Tehama County's CHP office is the California Highway Patrol — Red Bluff Area, one of the Areas that make up the department's Northern Division. The office is located on Main Street in Red Bluff. Its officers patrol Interstate 5 and State Routes 36 and 99, along with more than 1,000 miles of unincorporated roads across the county. Day-to-day work centers on traffic enforcement and investigating crashes on those roads. The Area also offers several public services: inspections of child passenger safety seats, verification of vehicle identification numbers, the Start Smart driving program and the CHP Explorer Program, plus other roadway safety education. The office keeps weekday business hours, Monday through Friday.
