Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office

Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office works alongside the police departments in Baxter, Brainerd, Crosby, Breezy Point, Cuyuna, Crosslake, Emily, Deerwood, Pequot Lakes and Nisswa to keep residents and seasonal visitors safe in this Minnesota county. Licensed deputies cover patrol, investigations, transports, civil process and administration, while non-licensed staff handle corrections, dispatch, emergency management and support. The Administration Division oversees human resources, finances, contracts and grants, emergency management and the fleet. Investigators split between general cases and LADID, a drug-focused investigative division for the lakes area, and the jail division manages a 276-bed facility for sentenced and pretrial adult men and women. Communications officers dispatch for law enforcement, fire, ambulance and other responders, query state and federal databases, enter warrants and stolen property and watch county building and traffic cameras. Community programs include BLADE, a joint effort against drugs; Take It To The Box medication disposal; Lights On!, which swaps equipment tickets for repair vouchers; a Safe Exchange Zone; voluntary security camera registration; the Neighbors app; and county ALERT notifications. Deputies also turn out for events such as the Polar Plunge, Shop with a Cop and National Night Out.
