Eliot Police Department

The Eliot Police Department was established in 1964 and in May of 2016, I was appointed as the town's sixth Chief of Police. I am committed to lead a department that maintains public trust and is community-focused. I have briefly outlined the department's overall philosophy in our mission statement and our core values were conceived with the residents of Eliot in the forefront of my mind. While we continue to have the usual community programs, such as National Night Out, Volunteers in Police Service, Coffee with a Cop, etc. I strive to expand our community policing to what our community actually needs and wants. As a department, we have recently extended our community reach with collaborations with both NAMI Maine and Sweetser to formalize a Crisis Intervention Team. While CIT is not a new concept it is the first time this has been implemented in our department. Non-emergency: (207) 439-1179. Dial 911 for emergencies.
