Laredo College Regional Law Enforcement Academy

The Laredo College Regional Law Enforcement Academy is the TCOLE-licensed training academy serving Webb County and the surrounding border region from the college's South Campus in Laredo. Working under contract with the South Texas Development Council, it runs full-time basic peace officer and county corrections academies and a rotating calendar of in-service courses, such as legislative law updates, crisis intervention refreshers, de-escalation, and first aid, for officers, jailers and telecommunicators from local, county, state and federal agencies. In-service classes meet in the Henry Cuellar Protective Services Center, are typically capped at 40 seats, and require enrollment through the officer's agency.
