Mt Olive Twp Police Department

Mt Olive Twp Police Department serves Budd Lake, NJ. On January 2, 2026, I was sworn in as Chief of Police of the Mount Olive Township Police Department (MOPD). Throughout my 28 years with this department, I have seen that our success is built on the dedication and professionalism of our employees. A key component of our continued progress is our Recruitment Plan, which focuses on attracting a diverse applicant pool that reflects our community. We will continue to explore new strategies to strengthen interest in our department and the policing profession. I believe that my biggest responsibility as the Chief of Police is to ensure the delivery of high‑quality service and to safeguard the safety, health, and well‑being of our community. Addressing roadway safety, traffic concerns, and feedback from our 2023 Police Community Survey is also a priority. To advance this effort, we have revitalized our Traffic Unit, which will focus on improvements through Education, Engineering, and Enforcement—the 3 E’s. Non-emergency: (973) 691-0900.
