The Taos Pueblo Tribal Police Department, also known as Taos Pueblo Public Safety, is the tribal police agency for Taos Pueblo in northern New Mexico. The Pueblo is a sovereign nation and one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States, with a land base of about 99,000 acres in the Taos Valley. Officers protect residents, visitors, and property on tribal lands. Chief of Police Summer Mirabal leads the department. Public Safety is based at 1075 Veterans Highway in Taos.
