The UMass Amherst Police Department (UMPD) is the police agency for the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus. It provides a wide set of services to the campus community: safety escorts and rides, car seat installation by officers trained as Child Passenger Safety technicians through Safekids, fingerprinting, a lost-and-found and a valuables registry. A records office maintains and releases department and public records.
