Valencia County Sheriff's Department serves Los Lunas, NM. Our deputies are committed to ensuring public safety through proactive patrols, responding to requests from citizens and other parties in Valencia County, criminal investigations, emergency response and community engagement. Other key responsibilities include civil process, the execution of court orders, and the extradition and transportation of prisoners for crimes committed within Valencia County. The Sheriff’s office provides court security officers to our local magistrates and district courthouses. We work closely with local, state and federal partners to address crime, promote community outreach, while supporting public education on safety issues.
