West Unity Police Department

The Village of West Unity sits at the crossing of US 127, US 20A and State Route 191 in northwest Ohio, and the village keeps a full-time police force on duty 24 hours a day. Officers enforce criminal and traffic laws and assist residents, and the department also works the village's community events, including Trick-or-Treat, Fall Fest and the parades held for Unity Days and Christmas. Full-time officers are joined by part-time and auxiliary staff. In 2013 the department worked with Millcreek-West Unity's Hilltop school to create a full-time school resource officer position, and an officer remains assigned full time as resource officer at the district's PK-12 school, a duty that a lieutenant and a sergeant currently share. The police department keeps a business email address for correspondence and asks that complaints be filed through other channels rather than by email.
